Amy (Doc) Chai for US Representative, District 1, CT

Put a healer in the house! America is stressed and depressed because our leaders, media, and social bubbles are creating division. Doc Chai, MD, MS, is an expert in Primary Care and Addiction Medicine. The mental health of America requires unity, not division. It is time for a candidate dedicated to honesty, integrity, and genuine respect–even when we disagree. United we stand. Join the revolUNION!
Doc Chai is a proven leader and a rational actor. She is not a partisan and has a long history of problem solving for real people in extreme circumstances. Pragmatic and tough, she does not apply inflexible ideology to real world issues. She understands that there are shades of gray and that we need to work together to make our country succeed.
Rising from extreme poverty in a boarding home, Dr. Chai knows what it is like to live in a car, sleep in a public bathroom, and go without food or health care. She attended The Johns Hopkins University (BA Biology), Indiana University School of Medicine (MD), University of Michigan Medical Center (Internal Medicine), and University of Virginia Health Sciences Center (Fellowship General Medicine and MS Epidemiology). She self-studied for Fellowship in Addiction Medicine. She was named a US Presidential Teacher by the Obama Administration in 2011 (her home schooling break was successful). She coached Speech and Debate in Policy, Student Congress, and Public Forum. She is a published author. She is a mother of two adult children and is the sole caregiver for elderly parents.
